Thank you for entering the 2013 Dasa Australian Freeride nationals to be held at Mudjimba Beach Coolum in front Of Twin Waters on the Sunshine Coast Saturday June 1st. I have attached all the event info including site maps, staff list, day schedule, format and heat list.WORX RACING SINGLETS:To make the event run smoothly we have invested in rider singlets, which are colour coded and numbered, these will be given to each rider when they sign in on Saturday morning. The lycra singlets need to be RETURNED please at the end of the day. The singlets will make it easier to know who is who and what heat the riders are riding in. There will be 2 rounds with 5 heats, 5 riders per heat in 10-minute sessions. The judge’s will be scoring all riders and picking the 12 best to advance thru to the Australian freeride contest. After the contest there will be another riding expression session to finish off the day.Sign in:Sign in will be just passed the event site at the end of the road in the car park strictly between 6:30 and 8:00am. No sign INS will be taken after 8:00am. Please bring ski and riding gear to this area. All riders will be given a gift bag with some products from our sponsors, such as a JETPILOT t-shirt, AJSP hat, Monster gear, some goodies from YAMAHA and WORX.BEACH SETUP:We have supplied all riders with pit tents, No other tents, signage or banners are to be put up at event site. No cars are aloud on the beach. All you will need is any extra fuel and chairs. The Mudjimba surf club is putting on a BBQ thru the day so food will be available, with all profits going to the Mudjimba nippers to help with training and I will have a coffee van onsite from 7:00am. You can either trolley your ski down to the beach or drive a couple of minutes to the boat ramp and ride skis around. (Riding skis around will be the easiest option as it is only a 5-minute ski ride).(ANYONE CAUGHT DRINKING ALCOHOL WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE EVENT)PRESENTATION:Awards will be given out straight after event on the beach. We have some great prizes from DASA, as the winner of the freeride contest will be taking home a DASA 850cc billet motor. YAMAHA, AJSP, MONSTER, WORXRACING, WATSON RACING, JETPILOT. There are trophies and prizes for pro ski stand-up race as well as the freeride event. Prizes will be given throughout the day for best trick, cherry popper, first to sink, best wave rider etc.Judges:We have been lucky enough to secure judges with a vast experience in jet skiing and other extreme sports. Head Judge will be Matt Elliot.Colin Richardson: Multiple Australian pro ski titles, travelled around the world racing and top surf rider with over 15 years of pwc experience. Andrew Reid: Multiple Australian Flatwater freestyle champions as well as multiple racing titles. Travelled with the JETPILOT freeride team back in the day. Matt Mingay: Monster energy Athlete, Australia’s best motorcycle stunt rider, spends his life performing on the v8 Touring car circuit,Drag car and many other events in his Drift utes and on his Harley Davidson, Battled Ken block in a Monster drift contest. Mingay recently caught the Jet Ski bug and bought a Yamaha superjet, he has an understanding of what it takes to ride in the surf and the skill that is needed.Event Tshirts for sale $25After Party:The after party will take place at The North Shore Tavern on Saturday night from 7:30pm. Free entry if you have the event wristband on and discounted drinks and platters of food will be offered.
