Jettribe’s Team Riders Final Finish at The UWP National Tour, West Virginia

Jettribe’s Team Rider Final Finish at The UWP National Tour, West Virginia.Rick SherkerRd. 7 RecapCharleston, WVWith a win in both Pro Ski GP and Pro Ski Stock, it was a great way to wrap up the 2013 UWP/IJSBA National Tour! This was my third win in the premier GP class this season out of the five rounds of tour that I was able to attend. The other two finishes were a 2nd and 3rd which were good enough to make the podium. For the overall championship, I had enough points to earn 2nd place in both classes.Overall, it was a really good season with a lot of good fun and a lot of good racing. And although the tour is over, the year is not! A lot of hard work is ahead to prepare for the 2013 World Finals which will be my next stop. I look forward to seeing everyone there and for the opportunity to race with the best racers from all over the world.Aero AswarSimply amazing. It was very good season for me, even though I ended up getting 5th in the National Tour rank. This is my first year that I completed the US National Tour from round 1 to round 7. Things weren’t all going as they planned but guess what…I had an awesome experience from the tour stops gaining knowledge from city to city and making new friends.Couple days before the last tour stop my dad and I stayed at Charlotte, NC. We went to sight seeing the city and well,…I did some boxing classes during my stay. I got to the race site on Thursday and not many people were there yet and I still had no idea where the race site will be till finally I saw trailers coming in to Magic Island. My hotel was only a mile away from the race site so everyday I tried to jog to the race site to get myself warmed up for the race. My ski was running good on Friday, my dad did lil adjustment with the fuel pressure gauge but yeah it was all good also my dad helped out Brian Smith his ski on the sx-r for his race in the Ski Lites class. On race day my moto 1 my ski ran really good to bad I got cut off by the start forcing me step down from the lead. Lap by lap I tried to catch them up till I got to the 5th place. In moto 2 an adjustment were made and the ski got even better I got a really good with lil rubs on each side of the ski good thing my Jettribe gear keeps me protected, in that moto my ski died for a while. It turned out that a fuze was loosen so that caused the ski to stopped a while and I managed to take 6th place in that moto. Last moto of the tour, I started out pretty good and caught some riders till got it to 4th and missed a buoy (went to the penalty buoy), I think because I was just too excited on the last race of the tour. Overall I took 5th in the US National Tour which I think isn’t that bad for a first timer and a person who actually missed a round during the tour stops.I would like to wrap up with thanking all my sponsors and people that helped me through tour stops, BNI, Jettribe (Tony Vo), Celebrity Fitness, Troy Snyder, Bo Dupriest, Erminio Iantosca, Brent Venderly, James Bushell, Julian, Jessica Ybarra, Derek Correll, Jeff Bolte, Rob Greenwalds, Jason Russo, Clay Barbee, Mike Bartolomeo, Abdullah Alfadel, and Aj Handler and the UWP staff. I had an awesome time with you all! I think I will be racing the tour.*Crazy hands – High knees*Erminio IantoscaFactory Jettribe rider Erminio Iantosca takes second in the nation on the Hydro-Turf UWP National Tour!! Erminio was on top of the podium 5 out of 7 races this season showing that being consistent pays off. Talked to Erminio and this is what he said ” I want to thank Jettribe for all they have done for me all year! There wetsuits are by far the best in the business. I put my wetsuit through the toughest test possible this year on tour and it worked amazing, it looks like the day that I got it brand new! The sticking the color everything just stayed so perfect I can’t that Jettribe enough for keeping me safe and looking good at the same time. All in all it was an successful season I would have like to win but ill take this second build from it and come out fighting for the title next year even harder!!”Brent VenderleyWest Virginia and the National Tour is a Wrap for 2013!So West Virginia wraps up the National Tour for 2013. I finished my second year in PWC racing, and first year in the Pro Stock class with a 3-3-3 podium this last weekend, and a forth in the overall national points. I just missed a national podium title by 8 points this season! It has been a learning curve with the step up from Novice to the Pro ranks as expected, and everything finally clicked and came together in WV. I had good starts up front and for the first time this season was in the mix with Troy Synder and Eric Francis around the first few corners. I rode smart, consistent and smooth and it showed in my results. As for the racing in general, West Virginia is an awesome location and like last year tensions were running a little high. The double points for the weekend always makes any rider in a tight points battle a little on edge. I think part of Cliff Roy’s job description is bouncer now. As usual, everything worked itself out on the course and the results put the talking to rest… for now.I have spent this season as a privateer rider with some great sponsors and friends helping. The 2013 National Race Series has been a blur of many miles spent on the road in several different rigs, flights to small airports, seeing my extended race family in different cities across the country, making new friends and making good friends GREAT friends. I can not thank Jettribe and everyone else who has been my support throughout the year enough: Tattoo Rich, Bad Bo, Troy Snyder, Clay Barbee, Jason Russo, Trisha King, RIVA Racing, Exotic Signs, Hydro Turf, Pro Hydro-X Tour, Kaotik Products and Ronny and Michelle at Pro Rider Magazine.Off to Islamorada, FL. I go for the Region 7 Championships and then World Finals![fblike]
