PWCforums.com Come Saturday morning, the new Torx Racing Box Stock Class legal Kawasaki Ultra 300X was ready to drop in the water and take a crack at the course during the two-hour practice window. With the newest member of the Torx Racing Race Team, Eric Francis, eager and ready to tear up the course, it didn’t take him long to once again demonstrate the dominance the Ultra 300 is capable of. Eric harnessed every ounce of power that the Kawasaki could offer and used his experience and complete control to outperform the whole field in both Moto 1 and Moto 2 on Saturday. From hole shot to finish the Torx Racing Ultra 300X punished all 3 of the Sea Doo RXP-X 260s that rounded out the field of 4 total Box Stock racers. All of the racers were back at it first thing Sunday and Torx Racing team rider Eric Francis was ready for a repeat performance. He got off to another hot start, out-pulling every one of his competitors off the starting line and holding his lead all the way through the end of the race. Moto 2 proved to be one filled with some misfortune, however, because Francis jumped the gun at the start and earned a Red Flag. After the restart he was never able to fully make up the distance created between him and the pack as a result of his forced penalty delayed start. Francis still was able to garner a 3rd place finish in that Moto for a great overall closed course debut for the Torx Racing Kawasaki Ultra 300X.Team rider Eric Francis and Torx Racing Owner, Jay Milliken, were both very pleased with the performance and handling of the Torx Racing Box Stock Ultra 300 and even more satisfied with the end results of three 1st place finishes and one 3rd place finish for the weekend. Add to that the beautiful weather after failed predictions of rain in the forecast, picturesque sunsets, and a full moon lighting up the sky throughout the night, the weekend of racing was all anyone could ask for from this great venue in the Florida Keys. The whole Torx Racing crew would like to thank everyone responsible for putting on the Jettribe Pro Hydro-X Tour events and is excited to participate in many more events next season.
