2016 Tavares Surf and Turf Race Release #4By: Mikey Young5/31/16(Bradenton, FL) The 3rd and 4th rounds of the HydroTurf Surf and Turf Jet-Ski Racing Tour, presented by Yamaha, RIVA Racing, City of Tavares, Lake County, Greenhulk.net, Blowsion, and Sea Doo will be in Tavares, Florida…aka, “America’s Sea Plane City” on June 4-5. This event is an IJSBA World Finals Qualifier for the Southeast Region of the USA, and should bring a strong economic jolt into Lake County.This is 8th consecutive year for this event, which situated conveniently in central Florida on picturesque Lake Dora. IJSBA race qualifying will begin on Saturday morning at 11am at the Wooton Park Extension and the event will also be highlighted by Freestyle, Eco Reco Scooter racing at night, a drone racing exhibition, and much more for the whole family to enjoy. The event will run approximately 10am-4pm each day, with a scheduled awards ceremony at 5pm on Sunday at the Wooton Park Pavilion. Admission to the event is free and there will be bleacher seating for the spectators, courtesy of the City of Tavares. Spectators are encouraged to bring their own shade or pop-up tents, and plenty of sunscreen! “I am super glad to have Hydro-Turf nationally, and Lake County locally, aboard for this event. This is our 28th season and the Surf and Turf event schedule will feature the most diverse series in the nation featuring HydroCross Racing, HydroDrag Racing, 2 Freestyle Shows, and a “Boots On Ground “ Poker Run in 2016”, said Promoter, Mike Young.
