The 3rd Annual Bradenton Area River RegattaBy: Mikey Young Photos: Pro Rider Watercraft MagazineThe 3rd Annual Bradenton Area River Regatta will be held on Saturday, February 4th and there will be plenty of action for all ages, including F-2 boat racing, the Action Jet Sports Mayors Cup, which is the 1st round of the Hydro-Turf Surf and Turf Championships. There will also be Flyboarding, Wakeboarding, Jet Ski Freestyle, Extreme Pogo demos, several concerts, 5K Run, children’s fishing tournament, fireworks and much more! Over 80,000 spectators are expected!The Action Jetsports Mayor’s Cup will feature 5 classes. Runabout Enduro Stock, Ski Stock & GP and Sport Spec & GP. Jonatnon Brockoff, of Top Gun Flyboarding and Women’s Champ, Kristen Smoyer will be flying high and Kristen will actually get lit up to start the fireworks display from the World Famous Zambelli Bros., of Pittsburgh, PA. Geno Yauchler, 7 time Foil World Champion will be flipping his air-chair, and Aussie Wakeboard Champ will be throwing some, “tantrums” behind the Mastercraft driven by US Ski Team Captain, Jeremy Armstrong! Pro Freestyler, John Havell, Pro Freestyler, will defy gravity in between the Formula 2 Boat racing. Finally, there will be an Unlimited “Grudge Match” between the 2 fastest racers in the World, UvaJet/Uva Perez (114.6) and CRT/Carlito Del Valle (113.7), which each racer getting 3 passes for the radar gun…all this with Mikey Young and Dylan Osborn calling the action!There will be several vendors, also a beer garden, and the number 1 Zack Brown tribute band with Tampa’s Soul Circus on the Main Stage, which will be located on the Palmetto side of the Regatta.
